Slumbering infant cuddled close
To warm chest welcome
Lashes graze cheeks pink
Softly budded roses
Many write of innocence lost
Yet I call it found.

walk the silent stream
‘neath willows weeping
endless strands of
leaves and tears
float sorrows away
with currents rushing
cleanse the heart’s dark
to find peace
